Free Astrological Consultation Camp

Vaishno Devi, Katra, Jammu, India (17th - 22nd Feb 2006) 

This was the first free camp organized by IIVA. In February 2006 Prof. Vishnu had gone for a pilgrimage to the shrine of 'Ma Vaishno Devi' in Jammu. There he had a very fulfilling Darshan.  

By Mata Vaishno Devi’s inspiration, it was there that the idea for a free astrology camp was born. With divine blessings and without prior arrangement a camp was organized within a day. 

The camp was held for 5 days from the 18th-22nd Feb 2006. It was a great success. Many people from all walks of life and all faiths - Sikh, Hindu and Muslims came to seek guidance and advice.  

The occasion was also marked by the release of the June 2006 issue of the annual 'Journal of Vedic Astrology'.

Katra is situated in the foothills of the Trikuta Mountains, where the holy shrine of 'Mata Vaishno Devi' is located. Katra serves as the base camp for pilgrims who visit Vaishno Devi
